Biography
She, her, hers
Jennifer Wagner obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cedar Crest College with a secondary school certification. She has a master’s degree in Learning, Design and Technology from Penn State. She taught high school chemistry for several years before becoming passionate about technology and distance learning. She spent 13 years managing a distance learning program for the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit. During her time at the TIU, she was brought on to a project to make the instructional resources for the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Office of Development Programs accessible. That project has made her passionate for 15 years about universal design for learning and accessibility. She currently works as an instructional designer and accessibility specialist for Penn State’s Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses. In that role, she supports both faculty and instructional designers in the building and retrofitting of course content for accessibility. Her other interests span microlearning and STEM education.
