Dr. Lee Ann Dickerson

Biography

Lee Ann Dickerson is an instructional designer at Penn State Behrend’s Center for Educational Innovation. She serves as an Academic Accessibility Liaison, working at the intersection of policy, pedagogy, and practice to help faculty navigate emerging digital accessibility expectations in higher education. With prior full-time faculty experience and more than a decade in instructional design and educational technology, Lee Ann approaches accessibility as a teaching and learning issue. Her work focuses on building practical, faculty-forward systems that position accessibility as sustainable teaching and learning practice. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Memphis, an M.A. in English from Bowling Green State University, and an Ed.D. from Concordia University–St. Paul. A lifelong education enthusiast, she values original ideas, rigorous thinking, and practical implementation and keeps them well-fueled with a great cup of coffee.
