Kristin Donovan

Kristin Donovan discovered coding in high school, taking JavaScript and Visual Basic classes while teaching herself HTML and CSS through personal website projects. After college, she spent eight years in the fashion industry and eventually managed an e-commerce site. Participating in a full redesign renewed her interest in development.

She transitioned into tech by completing the Flatiron School’s immersive coding bootcamp, where she studied Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL. After graduating, she worked as a freelancer and tutor before joining a creative agency as a web developer. There, she expanded her skills to include PHP, CodeIgniter and WordPress.

She now develops web applications at the University of Rochester, working primarily with PHP, Laravel and WordPress.
