Biography
Dr. Carey Adams is provost and vice president for academic affairs at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, where he has served since 2020. As the chief academic officer, he oversees all academic programs and faculty as well as administrative units including the library, registrar, student success, academic support, career development and graduate student services. His previous executive roles include serving as the chief academic officer at Fontbonne University (St. Louis) and Armstrong State University (Savannah, Georgia), and as dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Missouri State University. He holds a Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Kansas, as well as M.A. and B.A. degrees from Baylor University and William Jewell College, respectively. Adams’ academic specializations include organizational and interpersonal communication and intergroup dialogue.
