Surviving the social media burnout
Monday, May 11, 2026, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
To register or attend, you must be a current DigiCol member.
Social media managers in higher education handle more than packed content calendars. They also navigate the emotional side of online spaces where criticism, negativity and constant engagement are part of the job. In this interactive discussion, Jordan Gruber and Tim Cox, both from Lehigh University, will open a conversation about social media burnout in higher ed.
Participants are invited to share stories, tips and strategies for managing workload, responding to negativity and supporting each other in roles that are always online. Expect an honest conversation and a space to learn from peers facing the same challenges.
After the session is over, we’ll continue the conversation on our #social-media Slack channel. All DigiCol members are welcome to join the Digital Collegium Slack Workspace.
