Syd Hunsinger

Syd Hunsinger is a product owner at Sandstorm who manages many Drupal website redesign, maintenance, and enhancement projects. They are passionate about creating inclusive and accessible web experiences and ensure that passion is brought to Sandstorm internally by co-leading Sandstorm's IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) team. They were certified in DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging) through the Academy for HR earlier this year.

Syd’s background is in writing. They graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College Chicago with a major in Fiction Writing and a minor in Writing for Television. This love of all things creative has influenced all areas of their life, including their career in marketing and website development. There isn’t a problem that can’t be met with a creative solution!

Prior to joining the Sandstorm team, Syd was the operations manager for a small digital marketing and web development agency, where they managed all manner of projects. Before that, they managed projects for an SEO marketing agency—a career that has spanned six years and counting!

In their free time, they love writing stories, playing tabletop and video games, watching movies, reading books, and spending time with their partner, Matt, and cat, Becky.
