Dr. Brent Hoard brings two decades of expertise in higher education marketing, web development, and digital strategy to his role on Randolph-Macon College's marketing team. Holding a Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University, he has established himself as a thought leader in his field.
His recent publications explore compelling research interests, including the influence of bias on design decision-making and the quantification of skills and competencies essential for success in the educational technology sector.
Based in the Richmond, Virginia area, Brent shares his life with his wife, Liz, and their two dogs, Max and Ace. In his personal time, Brent pursues a passion for aviation through remote control aircraft–both fixed-wing models and photography drones–and maintains an active FAA Part 107 certificate.
