A reimagined, reinvigorated and relaunched website!

Session date and time

Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM EDT

Join us for a behind‑the‑scenes look at the ambitious transformation of the University of Texas at Tyler's website — because building a modern .edu is a lot like assembling a massive Lego set without the box. This session explores how strategic planning, cross‑campus collaboration and thoughtful design snapped together to create a unified, future‑ready digital presence. Over 18 months, the project team moved more than 20,000 pages and files into a single content management system, consolidating multiple administrative and WordPress sites into one cohesive, branded and accessible platform. Guided by research and extensive stakeholder feedback, we replaced a pile of mismatched digital bricks with a scalable template system that actually fits together. You will learn what worked, what didn't and how a shared vision — and a lot of patience — turned a scattered collection of pieces into a sturdy, sustainable new .edu.
