Devin Purgason is the associate vice president of student experience, marketing and outreach at Forsyth Technical Community College. He leads an integrated department that combines marketing, communications, student care, recruitment and onboarding into a single team focused on student success.
His work has been recognized nationally. Devin is the AMA's 2024 Emerging Higher Ed Marketer of the Year, a Winston-Salem Under 40 honoree, a Triad Business Journal 40 Under 40 recipient and a multiple CASE award winner.
He is one of higher education's most active voices on AI implementation, having developed agentic AI infrastructure at Forsyth Tech that saved over 183,000 minutes of staff time in a single year. He speaks nationally on AI, enrollment strategy and organizational restructuring at conferences including ASU+GSV, AMA Higher Education and CASE District III.
Devin holds a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary and a graduate certificate from Duke University.
