Jessica Mondi is a strategic communications and engagement leader at Penn State's Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, where she leads integrated communications initiatives that connect complex scientific research with diverse audiences. With more than seven years of experience at Penn State, she specializes in digital strategy, web governance, stakeholder engagement and translating institutional priorities into clear, audience-centered messaging.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in communications media (2003) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on project management (2010) from American InterContinental University. Her combined background in communications and business strategy informs her structured, outcomes-driven approach to digital initiatives, allowing her to align creative storytelling with measurable organizational goals.

At the Huck Institutes, she oversees web strategy, digital presence and high-level communications projects that support interdisciplinary research, graduate education and external partnerships. She is particularly passionate about intentional digital design — ensuring that websites and communications platforms are not simply repositories of information, but strategic tools that guide users toward meaningful action.

Her work centers on clarity and structure: defining audiences, aligning content to institutional priorities, building stakeholder buy-in and helping organizations move from reactive communication practices to proactive, thoughtful digital strategy.
