Craig Zaccaro

Craig Zaccaro is associate director of IT and application development for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at George Mason University. He builds and maintains CHSSWeb, the college's multi-tenant Ruby on Rails CMS that runs websites for departments, programs and centers across the college — the system at the heart of this session's enablement model. In addition to development, Craig provides communication and marketing strategy support, working directly with distributed content creators on both the technical and strategic sides of their web presence. He has been at Mason for nearly 14 years, including earlier work as IT and web coordinator for the School of Integrative Studies. Craig brings both a developer's perspective on building systems designed for non-specialists and a hands-on understanding of what users actually need to do their work well.
