With budget constraints and growing pressure to demonstrate ROI, higher education institutions must find ways to optimize digital strategies and identify cost efficiencies. However, many teams work independently, creating challenges in delivering consistent, cohesive brand experiences. This session will highlight how Penn State is tackling these obstacles by developing a scalable framework for design and technology that promotes collaboration and consistency across the institution. Using real-world examples from leveraging Drupal as a content hub for a university-wide news storytelling platform, and a brand new headless platform created to unify websites critical to the prospective student journey, we'll explore how Penn State is streamlining technical and design strategies, enhancing user experiences, and scaling these approaches to support new user journeys across the institution.
