Rachel is the director of project management at NewCity. Like many folks at NewCity, she started her career in higher education, spending more than six years working in digital communications roles at Florida State, Brown and University of South Florida before making the leap to the agency space.
Having played a variety of roles on web projects big and small, Rachel has a background in content strategy, CMS administration and program management. She takes pride in her ability to understand the big-picture needs of a project with the nitty gritty technical details, and she's as comfortable chatting to a team of developers as she is presenting to a room full of deans.
While she was only the runner-up for NewCity's "Most Optimistic" award, Rachel proudly boasts that she hosts the most fun project meetings. In addition to providing entertainment, she spends a lot of her time listening to and balancing the competing needs of timelines, budgets and resources across all of NewCity's projects. She also enjoys rolling her sleeves up, particularly on WordPress projects, and working with her team to deliver beautiful, performant websites.
